Hi everyone! I recently remembered how flash games were incredibly popular in the early 2000s. My friends and I would sit at our computers for hours and play various flash games. What happened to them? Why did they disappear? I remember there was a boom on platforms like Newgrounds and Armor Games.

Hi! Yes, flash games were a real discovery at the time. They became incredibly popular because they were simple, free and did not require powerful computers. But unfortunately, flash system had to be disabled in 2021 due to serious security vulnerabilities that could not be fixed. For example, hackers often used these holes for attacks. Instead, safer technologies like HTML5 came along and became the basis for modern browser games. Many older games have migrated to this platform, so you can still find them in the new format. I also loved flash games, especially on older sites like Armor Games. It was a time when independent developers could quickly create games and share them with the world. Today, of course, HTML5 and other technologies have replaced Flash, but these games still have a special place in our hearts. You no longer need to install plugins to play, which is also cool! Although yes, not all games have migrated to the new platform, and many of them have simply disappeared.
