Radeon RX 9070 GPU Runs COD: Black Ops 6 at 4K 99 FPS Without AMD FSR
Unlike NVIDIA with its GeForce RTX 50 series, AMD has not revealed details about the performance of the Radeon RX 90 series. However, IGN managed to access a machine equipped with an RX 9070 at CES 2025, showcasing the GPU's performance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The card achieved an average of 99 FPS in 4K resolution without upscaling.
It's worth noting that this performance was achieved without using AMD's FSR 4 or any other version of the Red Team's technology. In other words, the final result came purely from raw performance, without the assistance of algorithms or AI.
According to IGN, the Radeon RX 9070 ran the popular Activision game with an older driver that lacked optimizations for the new RDNA 4 architecture. The site also reported encountering some bugs similar to those seen with the Intel Arc B580, but such issues are expected to be resolved before the GPU’s official release.
The machine featuring AMD's new RDNA 4 GPU was also equipped with the latest Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, which the Red Team is calling "the best in the world for gamers and creators."
